 I peered closely into the delicate petals of a flower;

Tiny rows of ants were marching towards the little drops of nectar in the center;

Inches from my nose, but not so clear to my eyes.

I looked up to the skies at the setting sun,

A nectarine golden orange,

Captured my sight and my heart

In a matter of minutes, a million stars would rise,

A feast for my eyes

Yet light years apart;

It made me wonder, what was near

And what was far?

Further than the stars and galaxies

the horizon of what my eyes can see

What lies beyond

Extending to eternity?

I close my eyes

Open my mind

And in the sacred cave of my heart

Nearer than the nearest

I am infinity

You never know

You never know

Lyrics - Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji

Singer - Famous Italian singer Lu colombo

You never know

How and when

The existence will start

Using you for its purpose

You never know

How and when

You will be filled with abundance

And you will start raining

Quenching the thirst of many

You never know

How and when

You will be full of

Fruits and shade

And travellers will take

Shelter and food from you

You never know

How and when

You will be full with

Love and light

And you will start spreading

The fragrance of beauty to everyone

You never know

How and when.... Really

 ACCEPTANCE...

When we don't accept an undesired event,

It becomes Anger;...

When we accept it,

It becomes Tolerance....

When we don't accept uncertainty,

It becomes Fear;...

When we accept it,

It becomes Adventure....

When we don't accept other's bad behaviour towards us,

It becomes Hatred;...

When we accept it,

It becomes Forgiveness....

When we don't accept other's Success,

It becomes Jealousy;...

When we accept it,

It becomes Inspiration....

Acceptance is the key for handling life well...

~ Beloved Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji

A poem by Rabindranath Tagore "Go Not To The Temple*"

Go not to the temple to put flowers upon the feet of God

First fill your own house with the fragrance of love and kindness

Go not to the temple to light candles before the altar of God,

First remove the darkness of sin, pride and ego, from your heart

Go not to the temple to bow down your head in prayer

First learn to bow in humility before your fellowmen, and apologize to those you have wronged

Go not to the temple to pray on bended knees

First bend down to lift someone who is down-trodden, and strengthen the young ones, not crush them,

Go not to the temple to ask for forgiveness for your sins,

First forgive from your heart those who have hurt you!

*Temple means any place of worship for that matter*

 " To wisely live

your life,

you don't need

to know much

just remember

two main rules

for the beginning:

" You better starve,

than eat whatever

And better be alone, than with whoever. "

- Omar Khayyam

Drink water from the spring where horses drink. The horse will never drink bad water.  Lay your bed where the cat sleeps. Eat the fruit that has been touched by a worm.  Boldly pick the mushroom on which the insects sit.  Plant the tree where the mole digs. Build your house where the snake coils to warm itself.  Dig your fountain where the birds hide from heat. Go to sleep and wake up at the same time with the birds – you will reap all of the days golden grains.  Eat more green – you will have strong legs and a resistant heart, like the beings of the forest.  Swim often and you will feel on earth like the fish in water.  Look at the sky as often as possible and your thoughts will become light and clear.  Be quiet a lot, speak little – and silence will come in your heart, and your spirit will be calm and full of peace.

Nature is talking to you, are you listening?

Children

Your children are not your children.

They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you,

And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,

For they have their own thoughts.

You may house their bodies but not their souls,

For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,

which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them,

but seek not to make them like you.

For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children

as living arrows are sent forth.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,

and He bends you with His might

that His arrows may go swift and far.

Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;

For even as He loves the arrow that flies,

so He loves also the bow that is stable.
